Yin Yoga Teacher Training  30 hours

Explore the Yin counterpart to your Yang practice.

We will study the fascia, joints and ligaments instead of the muscles that are normally worked in a more active practice. We will explore familiar poses with a passive approach, learning how to be comfortable with what arises and experience the yoga of “being” instead of “doing”. 

The Yin training will be comprised of two weekends (30 hours). 

It will consist of :

– experiential Yin Yoga practices

– instruction in how to teach poses in Yin classes

– instruction in meditation

– instruction in pranayama techniques

– yoga philosophy

– anatomy relevant to Yin Yoga

May 31 Friday: 6:00 to 9:30p

June 1  Saturday: 12 to 7p with 30 minute lunch break

June 2  Sunday: 1:30 to 6p    

June 7 Friday: 6:00 to 9:30p

June 8: Saturday: 12 to 7p with 30 minute lunch break

June 9: Sunday: 1:30 to 6p        


Yin Yoga, Principles and Practice,10th anniversary edition, Paul Grilley (required)

Insight Yoga, Sarah Powers (suggested)

The Complete Guide to Yin  Yoga: The Philosophy and Practice of Yin Yoga, Bernie Clark (suggested)

Mats and props available.

Open to yoga teachers and non-teachers.



$600 early bird before April 28, 2019
